In technical terminology, wireless doorbell button is actually a transmitter. Wireless doorbell is nothing but a small transmitter. On pushing the doorbell button, a coded signal is sent to the receiver attached to the bell, this makes doorbell chime.

Few advantages of the wireless doorbells are:

Being at the far end of your home or for any other reason, you may not hear the ringing bell, but such an eventuality is taken care of by having a couple of them spread over different points of the house and keeping them all tuned to the same button so that you don’t miss its ringing in whichever part of the house you might be.

This involves no wires and no more electricity charge than that for a small battery. The battery is housed in the button unit. But you can plug most indoor chime units into an electrical outlet, which rules out charging many sets of batteries.

Though replacing a wired doorbell is easy for most DIY-ers, this one is even faster. . At the most you need time to decide between the brass and gold finish, otherwise this project is a blink your eye, finish project! .

Those going in for a new chime unit may also follow the same steps for changing the old chime. The only point to be taken are of is to ensure that the respective wire go to the right terminal for a successful functioning.
