Looking for a photographer for a special day?  Well my experience being a San Diego Photographer has given me some insight on how to make the best choice for that special occasion.  So don’t even think about popping open the yellow pages and picking any old photographer that you find.  Take it from my experience and follow these steps on choosing a good photographer.

When you know that a special day is coming up, most people want a way to remember those special moments, and most of the time it will be with pictures.  So it is critical that if you are going to hire a photographer to capture those moments, that you do your research, , especially if it is a wedding, I know from first hand experience as a San Diego Wedding Photographer.  Start by asking friends and family for any people they can refer you to.  With that list, you can start to put together some potential candidates.

After talking with your friends and family, you should now have a good list of photographers to work with.  With that, take a look at their websites.  See if they have an online portfolio for you to view.  By looking at their past work, you will get a better idea of whether or not their style and the types of shots that they take are in line with what you have in mind.  By doing this, you can narrow your list down even more to the photographers whose work you like so far.

Now you are ready to conduct some interviews.  This doesn’t have to be in person.  You can do it over the phone.  The goal of these phone interviews is to ask questions.  Questions that will help you determine if this is the right person for the job.  The more specific you are in asking your questions, the more specific your prospective photographer can be helping you better understand if this is the right person for the job.  By doing this you will narrow the field even more, and from that you can finally schedule to meet those in person who you like so far.

Now, after meeting with the final photographers on the list, it is time to decide who will be the right person for the job.  Some of the factors you want to base your decision upon is, does this person understand what you want for this photo shoot, and how to capture the special moments.  Also is this a person whom you like.  Believe it or not, for something as intimate as photographing a special day, you want to make sure it is somebody you get along with.  After you believe you have found the perfect photographer, then go ahead and make the decision and let the person know you have chosen them.

Following these simple steps will benefit you in many ways.  It will allow you to get to know your photographer.  Having a connection is very important.  It will also allow you to see if his style is what you are looking for in the types of shots you want.  And most of all it will give you piece of mind.  Setting up a photo shoot for a special occasion usually means the event is very important.  With that in mind, you want that day to be as stress free as possible and following these steps will help accomplish that.

Kodak digital cameras are produced by a multinational American cooperation known as Eastman Kodak Company. Steven Sasson, an electrical engineer at Eastman Kodak company in the year 1975, invented the first recorded digital camera.

The camera produced was not intended for production, but was for a technical exercise. The prototype was eight pounds in weight, had a resolution of about o.o1 megapixels and recorded black and white pictures in to a cassette tape. Its first image was captured in December 1975; taking twenty three minutes to capture it.

A long line of professional Kodak digital cameras was initiated when Kodak brought the Kodak DCS-100 to the market, in 19991. These digital cameras were based on film bodies, in part and were often Nikons. They also used a 1.3 megapixel sensor. These Kodak digital cameras were priced at about $13,000.

Kodak introduced an improved version of its previous Kodak digital camera system – the Kodak Professional DCS 200 camera, which has electronics and recording capability; and the camera was one handheld unit.
These cameras were first bought by photojournalists.

In 1994, the Apple QuickTake 100 camera was designed as a Kodak digital camera and supplied by the Kodak Company to Apple computer- this was the world’s first consumer priced digital camera.
Soon after, in 1995, DC40 Kodak digital cameras were introduced as the first consumer priced model by Kodak cooperation.

Soon after, Kodak DC-25- the first Kodak digital cameras that use compact flash were introduced in the year 1996.

Priced under $1000, the world’s first consumer megapixel Kodak digital camera – the DC210 was introduced in 1997.

After the formation of the first JPEG and MPEG standards in 1998, the move to digital formats was much easier. Compressing image and video files for easier storage was allowed thanks to these standards.

Then Kodak launched its first 3 mega pixel consumer Kodak digital cameras- the DC4800 zoom digital camera. With manual and automatic settings for maximum creative control and flexibility, the critically acclaimed point-and-shoot camera was designed.
